Can feel the mournful overtone contained within the confines of this poem.

Seems her green truck held a special fondness for you that will be difficult to fill.

Never easy to lose anybody one feels connected to in a special way.

Thank you, Brett. Your comments are poignant and meaningful. You are right. The green truck held a special fondness in my heart...it represented Cindy in a special way. It isn't easy to lose her and I will miss her caring ways.
    Thanks for the surprise review!

I'm really sorry to hear this, Jesse. Maybe I shouldn't ask this and you don't have to answer, but what exactly do you mean when you say she left?
I hope you find a new caregiver soon.
Thanks for sharing your heart -felt poem.

It is okay to ask. I don't mind answering. Cindy bailed on me and Sunny my cat and just up and left us with no caregiver to replace her.
She offered us the world and then left us flat!
I appreciate your care and concern.

Yes, I was, and it was so sad to let her go.

It's interesting how relationships change over the years. You have best friends as kids, you have lovers and soul mates in the prime of life, and then you have caretakers near the end. Hopefully, you will find another special person.

This poem was full of feeling and longing. Loss is a very relatable topic. Sorry to hear about your caregiver. That's such an important position. Thanks for sharing your feelings!

Jesse, this is a beautiful expression of what Cindy means to you, and you're so smart to express your feelings in poetry. Writing is such a safe and useful way to deal with emotions.

Interesting touch that you didn't say your gorgeous view was distorted by the truck but, rather, by the memory of it. The idea that a memory can distort a view is both lovely and poignant.

Good luck finding your new caregiver. It may take a little patience, but the right person is definitely out there.

Thanks, Michele! Your commentary on the poignancy of the gorgeous view being distorted by the memories of Cindy's truck is helpful and shows you are paying attention to the poem. I thank you for wishing me good luck in finding a new caregiver! I too believe there is the right one out there just waiting to be chosen.

Absolutely, Jesse. I'll never review without truly reading first.

Remember how convinced you were you would never find Cindy, and then you did? That's why I'm so sure you'll find someone new.

Thanks for your confidence boost. I always know I can count on you.
I will find someone even better than Cindy this time.

It is not easy, as you say, to replace the one that filled your life with sunshine and smiles. But it is important to let the light in, until someone new fills your heart. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I'm so sorry, Jesse! I was wondering this morning how the transition was going, now this poem. I do hope you will find another friend and caregiver to replace her. I know it must be hard. Sending you my best and hoping for a change real soon.

There are many caregivers, Jesse. You shouldn't get too attached to one that it hurts your heart. Remember, they are there to help you, to make you better. There will be another, so treat them nice. Thank you for sharing.

Another fine poem, Jesse....and the loss of someone, be it health or absence for unknown reasons, is a sad fact of life, but still hurts when it happens

Yes, Mike...it still hurts when it happens, even though it is a sad fact of life. Losing Cindy was hard and I still miss her every day...she was a big part of my life.
I will move on and find someone else I know and cherish them as much as I did Cindy. Thank you for your support.
I appreciate you and your effort to cheer me up.

It is very hard not to become too attached to someone who takes care of our every need so caringly and lovingly. It is hard for them as well because it is just a job for most. They have their own lives and leave their work at work. Well written Jesse. I hope your new caregiver will be just as attentive to you. Nancy:)
