Hi Wendy,
I can almost see and smell the things you do at this museum. I think this is an inventive idea. It gets to our hearts as well as our eyes.
I like the color scheme of red white and blue to show your patriotism and that of the creator and curator of this museum. I might have go to the one in New York that you mention. I would like to visit the one in Australia too.

Thank you Joan for this wonderful review - and I am so glad you enjoyed it. Unfortunately the museum in Australia exists only in my imagination. I just made it up. If they can do a museum of scents in New York, and they can do multi-media exhibits in museums and art galleries, they should be able to easily combine the two. If I was young and an entrepreneur, I would create it myself!! Thank you again.

You're welcome. I would be right there with you. Of course we would have to include the koala and kangaroo too.
It is very imaginative. Maybe you can give the idea to the Australia tourism bureau and they could find some one to figure it out.

Hello there, Wendy. This is an awesome story. I love the fonts, the entire presentation, and how are you but all the scents alive.

Congratulations on story of the month. If I had a six star left, I'd give it to you.

Thank you very much Kerry! What a wonderful review - it gives me so much pleasure that you enjoyed it. Even your thought of offering a six is an honour. Greatly appreciate you taking the time to review, even though it has expired.

Wendy, you have my vote and I wish you success in this challening contest for book of the month. With the emergence of Immersive theater, I can only image an immersive scent galleria will not be too far behind. I can smell the explosion of bar-be-que in the distant air. I can't even image being selected let alone be a finalist in the poetry of the month crowd.
GREAT SUCCESS!

Sounds a lovely place to visit. When I went to Belfast, my friend took me to the Titanic Museum and they had a simulator that took you through the yard where the ship was made. You could feel the heat that would have come from all the machinery, but I don't remember if there was a scent.

Thanks so much Sarah. Unfortunately there is no such place yet! Only in my imagination. So i am glad you thought it was real. Thank you for reviewing - always appreciated.

This is perfect - exactly what I was hoping for when I created the challenge! You went beyond the smell to cover all the senses but you did describe the scents well and that is what we should strive for when we write. Superb job!

A smell exhibit sounds like a great idea, but it would not be enjoyed to the fullest by me. My sense of smell has always been very poor. Sometimes this can be advantageous.

Thanks for reviewing, Paul. Yes, indeed, you are right; depends on what one is smelling!

Dang it, Wendy. I was about to look up the exhibit on Google. Your description of the exhibit, the sounds, sights and smells was so darned realistic. I thought for sure you had actually physically visited. Then I read your author notes. You clever, clever girl. Thank you for posting. Gretchen

Lol. Sorry to disappoint! At least I saved you a frustrating and pointless few minutes of googling! If I had the energy, and money and time (and was a bit younger), I would create such a museum myself. I am surprised it hasn't been done already. Thanks so much for a wonderful review, and especially for the extra star, a validation of my writing and a great encouragement.

The sense of smell is the best device for recalling places and events in life that have occurred, but I do know all the scents you have mentioned, which is tantalisingly memorable. Some of the best travel experiences have been brought to mind by smell. Beautifully written, blessings Roy
