Random Acts of Kindness

I am a firm believer in this, Jake. I'm catching up on offering return reviews for those kind enough to review my last post...in doing so I scroll through each portfolio until I find a post that needs one more review to "boost" it to recognized or "ATB"--OR until I find a title that screams "Stop! Read ME!"
This was the latter. In a world torn into little pieces of political division and bias it's just so easy to oh, pay for the car behind you when you get a coffee at Dunkin's... Or help that woman put her groceries in her car on a hot 95 degree day (like today!)
Every pebble of kindness thrown into life's pond expands outward...touching every shore.
I wish everyone would get on board with this one!

Congratulations on your 1,000 post. That is a lot of writing. I have been reading your work for a while. To me, it looks like a poem and often reads like a story. what is it? I especially enjoyed the message in this piece and I totally agree.

probably a prose poem of sorts

Congratulations on reaching a milestone, It is quite an accomplishment.
How true, even the smallest gesture can make a person's day and they may even pass it on with their own act of kindness.
A very well-written and powerful message for a much-needed world where we often lack empathy and kindness.
Best wishes,
Mary

I can just imagine how wonderful it would be if people would commit one random act of kindness. Pay it forward and the peace , even if only temporary would be a blessing. Maybe have a Random Act Of Kindness Day. We have our hope and faith that day will be coming. Thank you for sharing this great well written poem. Congratulations on your milestone!

How true. I was in Kmart one busy
morning when a little girl became very upset over a pair of slippers (her size) and I found her and dried her tears and we were chatting quite calmly when her mother came upon us in the next aisle, She just looked at me and said, "How much do you charge per hour?" The little girl was known to ''wind herself up"
and create mayhem for hours on end, Somehow this time she was short circuited and the storm passed.Later at the checkout she bestowed a shy kiss and said "Thank you"
Her mother had a very pleasant day instead of one coping with a tiresome child. I knew it was due to the fact that I had taken a moment to dry her tears,And I felt really good about it. cheers Cass,

Congratulations on your milestone post! This was a great post to celebrate that. I just have one note:
"Give someone a set on the train" might be a typo. "Give someone a seat on the train"?
Thanks for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Congratulations on your 1000th post! You must be a very busy man indeed.
Another great poem. Perfect meter and flow.
Just one small suggestion if I may,
"Give someone a set on the train..."
Seat?
Keep up the loving messages. The world is a better place for it.

thanks and I will fix the typo
Comment from Mark Kuglin
Great poem...It's succinct and has message everyone needs to hear and apply.
There are two issues though...
You have a typo
"give a set" should be seat
Your closing line starts with "would"
I'd switch it to wouldn't
Would isn't appropriate with the question mark.
