I looked first at the picture you posted, and read your words, "there lies those who run wild and free." I took that to mean animals don't try to be other animals. They live their lives open and honest.

I agree that we are all unique and we should not be judgmental of others. Additionally, we should develop our own strengths rather than trying to be someone else. I'm glad you decided to post this message. If we all followed your example, the world would be a better place. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Ah, Jesse! How much better the world would be if we all set aside our preconceived notions of just what one should be, and what is considered "unique or unusual." I love your title, and you carry through on the theme with an astuteness and light-hearted banter than does not chastise, but invites us ALL to stop and think the next time we're ready to "ascribe" a
judgment, or turn away from someone we'd not normally engage with. The loss, after all, is our own!

I think all my life I've been happy being me, but there are aspects of imperfection that I'd change, but if one doesn't accept themselves they're never going to understand how God could, and yet He does, beautifully written Jesse, love the artwork, blessings Roy

I love this, Jesse, and I love what it says about you and your acceptance of all, outside whatever labels society may choose to give them. I love the idea of eschewing labels altogether, and just being the person you truly are.

I can see "quintessential nonconformity" on posters and as a rallying cry but, then again, wouldn't spreading that phrase to all interested parties just be conforming? Stick to your own individuality, and respecting others'. That's what makes you your own quintessential nonconformist.

Wow, Michele! You make me feel good all over with your praise of my individuality!
Thanks for the superstars and for being the first one to take the lead and offer me a wonderful review.
Your mention of the posters doing a rallying call reminds me of the 60s when they took signs and posters which said free love and freedom for all!
Thanks my friend most of all for your kindness and consideration for all those who don't fit into a box just like me!

The most popular poster when I was growing up was "Make love, not war." I can definitely see their point!

Personally, I've never been one to follow trends. I dress in what I think looks nice on me and feels comfortable, and the closest my clothes come to a designer label is the tag with the laundering instructions. I respect individuality and having the courage to not follow the crowd. I'm true to myself and, as I try to make "myself" the best I can be, that's enough to make me happy.

You definitely seem to be true to yourself, and I respect that completely!

I don't think you are a person who labels people anyway. I think you lovably unlabelable. We are all unique and have qualities that make us different from each other. Your message says a lot about you, your kind and accepting nature, and the people you choose to honor.
Personally, I found the picture rather distracting. I guess it's humorous but even with the picture not on my screen, I'm still seeing collies in my mind. Aaack! I don't mind Lassie. But the picture takes away from your message.

Thank you Helen for your kind words and for telling me I am lovable and unlabelable.
As far as the picture is concerned I think it shows how labels stick to one another at least that is what I hope it represents.
