So Dana the snob and Abby came face to face. I'll have to wait t see what Dana has in store for Abby.

Good chapter introducing Dana to some club members along with Abby.

Nicely done.... John

Yes, I like the chemistry between Dana and Abby. You leave the reader with the feeling that their relationship will act as a catalyst to change some lives -- for a while negatively. We will see. Good writing, Jim.

The golf course is set for the confrontations between Dana and Abbey festering to boil over.

Appears, even after twenty years, the two women still are not on much more than perhaps barely conversational terms..

Expect there will be plenty of action in this story.

We will be seeing some major interaction between these two before the end. Some of it may end up being surprising.

Well, Dana minded her manners at this meal, but she likes to plot too much to keep being this sociable to Abby. She seems to be the kind that will make Abby look foolish somehow to the women or go after Abby's husband. I look forward to seeing what you will do with this situation.

You may get a little inkling of it in the next chapter.

It seems like Dana can bear a grudge, or can be dangerously envious. But then, Abby is as sweet as Dana can be nasty, and naturally so. One wonders about folk. I can remember my table tennis days, it was hard to coach people, to play through the ball, offering the full face of the racket, and moving the wrist or feet to change direction or placing the ball to advantage, I was good at tennis too. The slice or hook is the least chance of placing the ball to advantage, full face of racket, bat or club, one needs a very good eye to be unorthodox successfully. So beautifully written Jim, blessings Roy

One does wonder about folks. I tried to really contrast the way Abby and Dana were parented as a major influence on how they turned out. How do children learn proper values without their parents teaching them to them? I think human nature, in the absence of learned good values, naturally leads people down the wrong road and needs to be reined in.

Your table tennis analogy was an interesting one. You should write a poem about it!

It?s just about presenting the full face of the racket to the ball, if one plays across the line it narrows the face of the.racket or bat, the ball goes where you want it to go. Watch good tennis players. They learned top spin and slice from table tennis.

I enjoyed reading this. I do not trust Dana. It seems she wouldn't be in the story if she wasn't going to cause trouble.

She introduced us after I sat down, and they told me the other gal in our group would be here shortly. (you can omit 'down')

These chapters are rather quick. Is it because of maintaining a word count for FS reading or something other. Is the book complete after 9 more chapters? What is the word count so far?

Yes, I try to break it into chapters of no longer than 1,800 words (usually more like 1,000-1,200 words), because I used to get complaints that some of my chapters were too long. We are currently 72,000 words into the total of 82,000 (about 305 pages). Yes, we have 9 more FanStory chapters until the end.

Yeah, but how long is that gold going to last? That's a nice twist at the end of your book, and I'm sure there's another coming. What a wonderfully written chapter. Good luck with your book!

Have a great day, and God bless.

and what comes next on the turn of the page? Tom, (speaking to myself) you must wait and see. It's a mystery. Let Jim plot his course . ..................................................................................................
