Oh I can just imagine this happening between siblings. An amusing tale, well told, Wendy. Lesson - sometimes tales need to be told LOL
Enjoyed this 'names changed' story. Leaves me smiling.
Cheers

Thank you so much Valda! Yes, I think he will use better judgment next time there is an important "tale" to be told! Lol.

This nonfiction piece was hilarious! It sounds like something my sister would have done. LOL. Thank you so much for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Hello Wendy,
this was so funny. It's just like a child to do something like that. Of course dad is trying to teach his children what is a legitimate concern and what is trivial. Sometimes, as a parent, we need the wisdom of Solomon, but even then there is no guarantee that you'll do the right thing. Thanks so much for sharing this. You've got some great memories to cherish and retell when they get bigger. Have a blessed day.

It?s not easy being a parent! She isn?t normally a tale teller unless it?s important, so he should have listened. He was too keen to have cuddles and kisses from the little one. Lol. He?ll know for next time. Thanks so much for reviewing,

Oh my! Well, I guess that's a lesson for dear old Dad, eh, Wendy? This is a cute story. You should have saved it for a Flash, true or fiction. It would have worked. I enjoyed it!
Funny, Dad is thinking about those toilet kisses he received, but what about 2 year old Jackie? She was sucking on that toothbrush! What kind of dreaded germs have invaded her little body?
Excellent true story! And well written! Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Kimbob

Lol. Everything you say is true! But neither seems to have suffered physically from the germs. Dad probably learned to trust the judgment of his eldest daughter. Hope so. Thanks so much for your super review,

I love your story and can easily believe that it is true. This is one time when a parent should have listened when his daughter tried to tell him something. He would have been glad he did.

So right, lol. Parents make mistakes, as here, and need to learn when it is better to listen first. Thank you so much for your lovely six star review, very much appreciated.

I sure hope the toilet had been flushed but probably not since children that age don't think about that. I have to respect the Dad though as he didn't want to encourage the kids to be tattle tales. LOL

Thank you very much! I didn?t dare ask about the toilet, and my son didn?t tell me, so I fear the worst. Lol. I appreciate your review, and your time.

Uggg. Kids not only say the darnedest things, they do the darnedest things! I bet your dad wished he.'d taken time to listen to Clara's tattling. This post gave me a good chuckle.

Yes, sometimes it?s a good thing to tell tales. Not all tales are bad or unimportant. Thanks so much for reviewing. I am glad you (sort of) enjoyed it. Lol.

Thank you Teri. Yes, the lesson is to not be too quick to jump to conclusions. Or to rush to the little one for kisses!

LOL I can see this happening. Children are so much fun. Once is first grade, I had a little guy, Jordan. He kept me posted on everything happening in the classroom, and I was trying, unsuccessfully, to stop him. One time he came to tell me something, and I asked if he was telling tales. He said, "No, this is really true." I had to suppress my laugh. Thank you for sharing.

Lol. Yes. There are tales one doesn't need to know about - and others which one does need to know. Parents need much wisdom to know the difference. Lovely review.
