Well, this poem's clever! And what a perfect photo to accompany it. It made me wonder if you started with the picture and crafted your poem around it. Otherwise, you were incredibly lucky to find it.

Actually Jay it is a Snapchat picture of my grandson that I kept thinking about what I could do w a possum on the head and being a retired teacher remembered that about this time of year the kids get antsy, so thus a brain playing possum was born. Anyway I thought this my be kinda fun. I truly appreciate your very kind comments. Thanks again my dear friend.

Excellent, yes, the brain does have a habit of playing possum when it comes to school, though even the possum has to learn otherwise it will not grow, very well written and presented, best wishes for your contest****kahpot

Cute poem. Possums should not be kept as pets. Even a loving pet owner may not be able to provide all of the things that wild animals require. A short- tail possum is a hybrid animal that fights with each other if two of them are kept together in a cage; even if one of the animals dies, the other will not. I would stick with learning the a, b, c's another way!

Oh Rosemary, it is just the fun of the poem. It's not a real possum. Maybe I should put that in the notes? I have this picture of my grandson on Snapchat and they can make a picture look like that. So I thought it would be kind of a cute theme for my 5-7-5. Thank you dear friend and you are absolutely right about having one as a pet. : )
