I think boys suffer this far more than girls, as a dear girl remarked that the rulers thst determine curriculum in schools are, at least in my country, are women, and the education system favours girls I'm afraid, as socialised help favours minorities, equity has never really dominated systems,. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Oh, no doubt, this is how our young students feel as the school year wears on and on. Imagine how the teachers feel. You did a great job with this 5-7-5 poem. I really enjoyed it.

Yes, young males do suffer a lot during this time of the school year. Boys need to move and be active, not sit in chairs and do paperwork all day. Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us and good luck.

This short poem is very creative. It reminds me of when my son said school was boring. He's now on his first year at university and he enjoys it a lot more.
Thanks so much for sharing.

This one is certainly relatable at mid year. FanStory is feeling rather blah today too. Thanks for the fun poem and good cheer in 5-7-5 poetry. It perked me up! ;))

Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest.

This is a very well written 5-7-5 poem you have penned for the writing prompt. You used very good descriptive words and amazing imagery with the picture of your grandson and his possum! Best wishes in the contest. Possoms are good to have around as they eat their weight in ticks. love and blessings Teri

And this entry was quite chucklesome ! Haha. What a funny, wonderful read. I loved the rhyme. It made me smile when I read about the Snapchat filter. I'm glad you specified that.

The author's poem are humorous, descriptive and creative. The poem made me smile. The first two lines are how many kids feel about school
after the Christmas break! The last line is funny! The poem flows and
connects well. The artwork goes well with these words.

What a great contest entry, Mystery Author. Your
syllable count is correct per line, there's smooth
flow, and your message is clear--seems to be one
that's 'catching.' The possum addition was fun. I
haven't heard the phrase 'playing possum' in a while.
That was a great way to say bored with the current
situation.
Thanks for sharing and best wishes in the contest, Jan

Very nice 5-7-5. You've highlighted an unfortunate fact of life at school, especially for kids in northern schools where the winter doldrums are in effect. Cute picture to accompany this poem too. Great job.
