Strong writing that really sets the love this woman had for her late husband. If this were true for all couples, just imagine the peace we would all experience in this life and the one following.

This is a very well written poem and I enjoyed reading it. I loved the picture and think your mum must be so proud. It's hard when a partner that you are devoted to dies and I am sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing and have a great day.

Aw, that was lovely. Your mum stayed faithful to your dad, she loved him. I liked the way you wrote he didn't die, just went to his rest. That's so nice! Well done, this is a really lovely tribute to your dear mother. :)) Sandra xx

    I think she would like this poem. She passed away at 83. My father died younger at 62.

The body is only a suitcase for the soul and the soul goes on - nothing ever dies. It is a transition to real life. Living on earth we clean up all our mistakes and hopefully go to heaven with a clean sheet. Well done.

I suppose every widow can identify with this poem on some level. I've been there twice, and your words touched me. You conveyed a meaninful and honest message without being 'maudlin'. I know nothing about poetrym other than I like it or I don't. I kike this one. Good writing. ann

This is a heartfelt poem on
a widow's bereavement and
devotion to her interred late
husband. It describes the
peace of her solitude in the
cemetery in loving detail. Her
eventual passing is her end
of life's journey to be reunited
with him. So eloquently
