The love that a child has for their mother in unlike any other love. As powerful a statement that is, I find it hard to contemplate that some children actually express hatred for their mother. True some mothers are that in name only, and have never earned the title. I did not appreciate mine until she was gone. It has been 16 years now and I am still discovering how much my mother loved me and feeling guilt for some of the heartache I caused her. While I cannot undo what I did, I can at least feel remorse over it.

Thank you for reading and reviewing. I appreciate it and your feedback. Mothers are pretty special, and I wish everyone could understand that. I'm sure your mom knew how much you loved her; they have a sixth sense about that, even when we're going through our rebellious stages. Thank you again for reviewing. Take care. :D

"She is not dead, merely sleeping." Your mom would be proud of you writing about her. They are never forgotten, memories spring forth from youth to adulthood. Good time, smell of cooking, mom's loving hand guiding the family daily. K xx

nice moving short poem about remembering your mother. We all have memories of those who we have lost and it seems that we all have lost a lot of people due to COVID, guns and overdoses.

Lovely 3 lines poem. Good syllables count and connection between lines. Nice presentation. The subject touched my heart because my mother died when I was ten but still miss her. Good luck in the contest.

A beautiful 3 line poem that says so much. My mother passed 10 years ago and while she was older, I do miss her and would love one more visit or phone call to tell her how much I love her.

Blessings to you and yours.
Janet

This is a simple and heartfelt poem about grief and loss. It mirrors what most feel about losing a mother. Sorry for your loss. My mom died of lung cancer.
Good luck in the contest
Keep writing and stay healthy

What a wonderful poem. Yes, it's true. I think I love my father more after decades of his death than I ever did when he was alive. However, I loved him very much alive. Thank you for your lovely poem.

In its simplicity, your poem tells us of loss and grief, and then acceptance. It is a beautiful love poem and is a good entry for the 3 line poetry contest. Best of luck.
