You can't lose your memories. This a fine tribute to your mother, and a wonderful entry for the 3-Line Poetry contest.
My mother passed away in her mid-70's from Alzheimer's complications. Such a shame. It also took my grandfather, aunt, uncle, and younger brother (at just 60 years old). Yet I've heard that the disease isn't hereditary.
You never know when inspiration will hit. It's always wise to carry a small notebook and pen!
Good Luck in the contest! Hang onto those memories.
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thank you for reading and reviewing, Kimbob. I appreciate it and your feedback. You are right! You can't lose your memories--a reality I'm beyond grateful for. Several of my family, including my dad, have/are suffering from Alzheimer's. It's one of those diseases I wish and pray we find a cure for. I have several notebooks and often use my phone notebook as well. Inspiration is always striking when I least expect it. Thank you again for reading. Take care. :D :D

It is always sad to lose a parent, but what is worse is losing them and never having a loving relationship with them. That relationship never goes away.
Nice work.

I enjoyed reading your poem. It is a beautiful tribute to your mother. We only get one mother and the loss for most of us is great. I do not see any room for improvement. Have a blessed day.

Author,
Your three line poem fits the criteria very nicely.
I like the artwork and your poignant words.
My mom died at 87 years. But it was still before her time as far as I'm concerned. It was a few years ago, and I still reach for the phone to call her.
Good luck,
Blessings,
Cindy

Hi there,

I really like the sentiment you deliver in this short piece. This short pieces can be tricky to pull off. No issues with hitting the required syllable count.

All the best

Lovely and lovingly done. If it's possible to pay tribute in only three lines to a person that means so much, you've accomplished it. Best of luck in the contest.

Yes, a mother is never forgotten, always loved. You shared your sense of love and loss very well in your short poem. One day you might write more, and let us glimpse the person she was, and her impact on your life. Best wishes.

Hi Ms Myers(((((((,
a very relatable... and may I say, 'heart-tugging' subject sits in the forefront of this wonderfully composed 5-7-7.

The poem itself is simple, yet so succinct. It shows the indelible connection we all carry for those we love and care for.

Relatable to me, as would be the case for so many who will read your poem. I too lost my mother to the ravages of cancer... for me, seven years. I speak to her daily and feel the connection... as you say...' you still live in my heart'.

All the very best in this contest... a wonderful presentation.

With our thoughts we create...
an open channel.

Kind regards,
James.

Thank you for reading and reviewing, James. I appreciate it and your feedback. I was surprised at how quickly this spilled out of me, especially as my first-ever poem. (I've done a few haikus, but not many poems). I'm thrilled it came out so well. I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Cancer is *nasty*! I'm sure she still enjoys those daily conversations. Thank you again for reading. Take care. :D :D

Your poem was very moving and beautiful. I am so sorry for your loss. I am very close to my mother, and I hope I don't have to deal with this any time soon. Thanks for sharing, and best wishes to you.
