Another fine poem, Gypsy-----and it's so true that we're all slaves to the what-ifs in our minds. Sometimes I drive myself insane going over and over my words and deeds of the past, like if I'd only done this, or said that, things might have been different. I know they can't be changed, but does that stop me from thinking about it?

The simple artwork you chose for this beautiful poem is perfect. It makes me wonder which came first. The poem is emotional of a lost love. I think at one time in our lives we have all been there. You expressed it perfectly.

I like your free verse poem - good picture presentation - girl looks like she is having a bad time of it. verse flows nicely- story of a young girl struggling to let go of her past attachment and move on. Seems that she has decided that it is a losing game and is ready. The only thing to suggest is to use the the word 'slave' vs slaved, slave to the whims, smoother form of the same word. Good Job. AP
