Your first sentence grabs the reader's attention. The next sentence with 'The reflective fire dances across her face... ' is very descriptive. Your story flows well and keeps me wanting to read more. I especially like the sentence at the end of the story, '... the connection tethering me to Earth dims and dissipates.' Well done. Thanks for sharing.

This is a story about a ghost who watches over his former best friend and love interest as she studies for her finals. The ghost reflects on their past friendship and how it changed when another friend came into the picture. Eventually, the ghost realizes that the girl and the other friend have feelings for each other and he died in a car accident caused by the other friend. The ghost watches over her as she grieves and tries to move on. The story is a melancholic and haunting tale of unrequited love and the lingering pain of loss.

This is an interesting story about how love causes conflict between friends if they are attracted to the same person. Luckily, there is more order after this mortal life than we know of. Letting go, moving on, and all of it in-between is definitely a human process, and a spiritual process as well.

His persistence paid off. Never totally discouraged from her neglect, he kept showing his love for her.

This is such a sad story of not ever being able to get the girl. Sadness is a real attention getter. I was wondering I'd he was going to let her go so she could be happy or if he was going to hang around still making her afraid to put him behind in the past, he finally got the message and now he is on another plain away from her in heaven. Now she can go on with her life I love with the man she forgave for being the driver and killing his friend in the crash.It's is amazing she came out of it all being so devastated and all.

This story sort of resembles and important event in my own life. I had to make a choice between a girl I was interested in and a girl i was loosely dating. I made the choice of choosing the one girl and rejecting the other and my life was forever changed, but not in the way you might expect. I will have to write and post that story here someday.
