I love how you creatively wrote this story from a child's perspective. I like how you, as the child, found Mom interesting, fun, and trustworthy, even if the food was yucky sometimes. And I love the smile ending. Thank you for entering the contest, and good luck. Terry.

A very good way to praise the woman who raised and gave you her love, author. When a writer places his/her heart on a piece of paper it shows the person they are. You're a beautiful person sight unknown. :) You could correct this line. It threw me off a little. (And her I love you face...is the first face I saw smile.") This is just a suggestion. ( I love. "Her face...) Thank you for sharing.
