So, Abby can snag a man and go out on a normal date. I suspect we are being shown this because this date is the beginning of something major in Abby's future. Perhaps, a hubby and little ones, after the Masters.
Well written, it is good to a slice of life from her POV.

Thank you. Spoiler alert: She doesn't spill anything on her date!

Your dialogue is well done. It flows nicely in conversation.
It's always a good idea to leave the reader hanging at the end to the chapter to see what happens next. You did that.
Good Job.

Yes, EJ was right, let's see how he behaves, if he's anything like the young me, perhaps not so well. This is a great post, full of those things I admire in a writer, putting oneself in the opposite gender's shoes. Beautifully written Jim, blessings Roy

Thanks, Roy. I've had to get some help with that from both my wife and daughter to get the female perspective on things. They've been invaluable in this process.

I?m sure, I lived in a house of females

I sense a romance brewing as Kenny said she looked great, while Abby was definitely up front about it:
"Tall and handsome and polite, I guess," I replied with a grin.
This seemed to be a chapter linking what's to come.
Nice read. John

Well handled but I'm still rooting for EJ! I feel your use of conversation has developed and is showing character in more depth. The suburban setting and the background of the Golf Club are convincing.

Well, we'll just see if he can compete with the tall, handsome, and polite Kenny!
Thanks for the good review, Sarah and for keeping with the story.
