A great chapter again. Full of actions, emotions and the characters so true to themselves - I mean I reviewed a few prior chapters, and when I started this one, I could 'recognise' each of them by the way they speak or act. This is hard to maintain, and without a doubt, you nailed it here.
I understand this is already published, but I couldn't resist to humbly suggest two things: a) would it read better if you chose 'woman' instead of 'female' where Cordero asks his mom to go talk to Ali?
b) would it be better to use: 'because of my poor judgement of character' instead of 'judge'
Please forgive me, I only mean to be constructive.

A great chapter again. Full of actions, emotions and the characters so true to themselves - I mean I reviewed a few prior chapters, and when I started this one, I could 'recognise' each of them by the way they speak or act. This is hard to maintain, and without a doubt, you nailed it here.

After reading this I wondered if I had read it previously and did not place a review. It's a smooth running story. Characters are identified well and provide substance. Manner of positioning characters works. Good stuff.

Another great instalment Barbara! Interesting development with Cord definitely thinking they are in a relationship and Ali just beginning to wonder! I like the possible tension this creates as they work this through. A little observation, Cord does a lot of "cheek pecking" Lol which is endearing, gee, I wouldn't complain but I wondered if maybe sometimes his hand might brush hers or rest on her shoulder or simply smile at her for some variety - just a thought.
Small edit towards the end "Standing(,) Nancy...". Great writing Barabara!

Seems like Cord and Alexandra are starting to get closer romantically and according to the other three, Mr Dreamy has always been the catch.

This is good although Ali seems to be suffering more guilt than necessary as her good works have brought out some bad guys. It's nice she is making female friends and becoming more a part of Cord's way of life. You have an excellent story here and the little snippet about the dog jumping into the tub with her is so amusing.
