Yup. The way Abby is talking about EJ to her Aunt, she certainly appears to be wanting to make a new friend hoping they share a common interest. Either way EJ makes or has made a lasting impression on both the Aunt & Uncle, with Bert of course on the side of caution.
Well done.
Cheers. John

Yes, bridge is the thing that will cement their friendship, but you'll see that it goes much deeper than that. Thanks for continuing to read and for the great review, John.

A good chapter from Abby's POV. I assume she is speaking about the past, but when she is/was still in College.
notes:
and the money {I'll be} earning at Brentwood
- I'm (She's already working there, right?)
"Okay, I'll let you know tomorrow after I ask him
- I love how both women just dismissed what the man didn't want. So real.

She is currently on summer break between her junior and senior years of college during this chapter.
By "I'll be" I meant the money she will be earning all summer long, as it is now still early June, but I think your suggestion of using "I'm" will probably be clearer. Thanks for that and for the good review.

The story continues to have a nice flow. Easy reading and pleasant. Caddies are an interesting bunch. Usually somewhat clever but a bit of drifting in their lifestyle. Interested to seeing where this one goes.

Thank you for the great review. I was a caddie for 5 years during my teens, and several of the characters (including E.J.) were inspired by real caddies I met. The caddie master was identical to the one in the story.

We all need someone in life, and we can be drawn to that someone for whatever reason. I've had lots of friends in my life, but apart from my precious wife, nobody stuck around. So people who enable you in life are pretty rare. EJ needs someone, and this dear girl could be it. Beautifully written Jim, blessings Roy

Thank you so much, Roy. I appreciate the good review, as always. What you said about friends is very true, and those that last for a lifetime are rare and special indeed.
