This is a great comment on the use of automation to replace humans these days. But nothing could ever replicate the heart and souls of a poet. And that is what inspires me to keep writing...

Judi's been writing about these things in recent times, I guess they'd have to be pretty sophisticated to do that, but who can be as erratic as a human? Beautifully written dear girl, blessings Roy

    Hello, Roy,

It's a joke, robots can't replace a poet's heart and soul. Gloria said that this is true and she wrote me a robot haiku. It wasn't too bad but needed a lot of editing.

Thank you very much for your time, kind review, and helpfull feedback.

Well, we fear increasing automation, and such a dismissal notice would cause more fear that a bad review. I am glad, of course, that we can take light-hearted approach to this work.

Six stars for good humor!

What an interesting angle on the whole idea of the poet - perhaps we are getting a lot closer to that moment - yes, is it possible to 'replace' a poet's soul ? a question to ponder

This is closer to satire in my mind. I am continually disturbed by the articles on artificial intelligence and how it can supposedly write poetry even Haikus. I won't go along with this no matter how easy it is to follow the seeming rules laid down by computers. I won't abide it I still deny that poetry can be written by a robot.
Please tell me it isn't so!
Jesse

I am glad that it was a joke, although I found it wasn't funny to me.

The master of the haiku strikes again. If you had not written your note, I would have taken it as satire. And as satire is well-done. Made in Japan is a great last line. I am not worried. No robot will ever take the Master's (that would be you) job. Terry.

No one ever said that we can't write poetry as a joke and this one is most successful. The last line "Made in Japan" is brilliant. A really fun poem. Well done.

This Haiku is totally left of field, super unique but equally concerning! It raises such a big question about robots and what they can do and the authenticity of the tasks they can accomplish. It makes us cry in disbelief that such a notion is outrageous. A Haiku takes skill, emotion, empathy, understanding, humour, wisdom and an understanding of the earth, society and the human nature to be crafted successful. Robotic Haiku, diminishes the essence of Haiku. I like the emotion this Haiku provokes!

This poem is a joke... perhaps satire. The truth is that a robots/machines could never replace a poet's heart and soul.

Thank you very much for your time and kind review. I appreciate your feedback.

My grandson has covid and gave it to his dad, his mom and I haven't got it. We all live together. I have been vaccinated, busted, and have taken paxlovid therapeutic medicine. I know how it is with the sick little ones. Hang in there

Poetry has to have soul. I have a difficult time believing that a robot can write beautiful/meaningful poetry. They may be able to come up with appropriate words but will they touch the heart?

I really like this one. The other day I read a series of music reviews written by AI bots and they were actually very good. So on reading your post I Googled to see if I could find AI haiku and the following is one example:

A summer river being crossed
how pleasing with my feet of riverbed trails ...

That is humorous but we can definitely see inroads for creative writing bots are just over the horizon.

The artwork is also an inspired choice.

Gloria

It's good to hear from you. This poem is obviously a joke but some reviewers took it very seriously. LoL interesting info about robot haiku poets. The haiku is not too bad for a hunk of metal. Hehehe... Robots lack the poet's heart and soul.

Thank you very much for your time and exceptional six stars review. I appreciate your feedback.
