A nicely written and serene episode Jim, it was good and peacefully relaxing in its content. I like episodes were we can see through the character's eyes, and in their plannings. I'm just planning an animal door and cover for our active Moodle dog, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Thank you, Roy. This ability to plan, and her attention to detail will come into play in Part 3 where she invents an ingenious device.

Effective first person narrative. Begins to establish the narrator's relationships with parents and Fred. Dialogue is credible but a great deal of space is taken up with details about the cat flap. It is of course difficult to assess a single chapter. It may have susequent importance?

Thank you for your review. The amount of detail was mainly to show how competent Abby is with planning, and with her attention to detail even at a young age. Very important traits that will come into play in Part 3 as she invents a remarkable device (not related to cats, though.)
