Reese,
You must be new, but your poetry flows like you've been writing for a long time. I love the theme of your work; finding Jesus' loving plan in life and in the heavens.
Your exceptional work is very inspiring.
Good luck in the contest.
Blessings,
Cindy

With reviews like yours, I should write more poems like this! Many thanks!!! I'm usually a reporter of the aging experience, the marriage woes (45 years), daughters (3) and travel (RV life). Faith is a big part of our life, but I don't talk about it much. Yet, this prompt stirred my soul; it challenged me to explain MY position, not just comment on His. It became an opportunity to "witness". So honored that you reference "inspired". In other news, we love PA - especially the Amish country. Since my wife is from Mass, vacations there always took us through PA. Since my name is Reese, Hershey was a favorite stop. I will close with a comment on your dog. She looks spoiled! I have one just like her. Sissie is 17 and most demanding. It's like having two wives...

My Faith is based on things unseen. Yes, I agree with you and the Word of God also says so. Thanks for sharing with us these beautiful words of Faith in the everlasting God. Thanks.

Words cannot express my honor and appreciation at receiving such a wonderful review from you. You are a most prolific writer of Christian Faith so your review holds extra meaning for me. The Spirit has connected us here. Thank you!

Reese, I loved this poem.

I resonate with your views on your faith in the living God - spiritual but not religious. Every line of your poem shows exactly how you see each aspect of life as a miracle from God. That's how we all should live our lives.

I liked that you mentioned asteroids and planets -- I'm somewhat of a geek and honestly, I find space just mind-blowing. I also liked the rhyming scheme.

Your thoughts and words and love for life and God flow effortlessly through this poem... as does my 6 star rating. :)

What a wonderful morning you have given me! I glean that you are a fellow believer, just not into all the pomp and ritual of churches? We agree very much. My wife and I found Cowboy Church a few years back which started with coffee and kolaches etc, then a half hour of country music religious, then a brief sermon. It was toe-tappin old time religion, but we did not go often. Still keeping our Faith personal and most giving to Salvation Army and similar. Anyway, you have certainly made my week with your support. I shall look forward to your growth. I offer no words of wisdom - I have none to spare - write for you. I find a nice Cab helpful, something sassie but not obtrusive, is a WD-40 of creativity! Stay in touch.

Reese,

This is just beautiful and very much mirrors my own faith. God is SO self-evident that I can't understand people who are willfully blind to His work and presence. Good luck in the contest!

Thanks. I don't normally get involved with these, but this one requested MY opinion. I am not qualified to speak for Him, but a Texan just STAYS READY to express his own opinion. Glad you like it!

New Hampshirites (those who haven't illegally migrated from CT and NY) have much in common with Texans. We were the first to declare independence from the crown.

HI Reese, everyone worships God in
their own way...there are people who go
to church to be noticed...and there are
people who go to church to be saved...

God knows the difference...and when judgement
day comes around the corner...God will know
what's in our hearts...

it's not where you pray from that matters...
it's that your prayers are true to faith...

I love your poem...and love this picture...
very well written...Love Linda xxoo

What a wonderful testament to the presence of our Lord your poem is -- I feel Him around me just as you describe -- in everything that He has created. Best of luck in the contest!

I feel Blessed for the opportunity to write this and more the wonderful response you have given. I have a prayer that maybe there are toehrs like me who might not be comfortable in church, bu want to have a relationship with our Lord. If only one reads my points and takes a walk with the Lord, I am excited! Thanks for reading my offering. God Bless.

You speak for many as you unfurl your "Credo" my friend. This expresses my thoughts on religion and the state of institutionalized worship exactly.
Although, I do confess to a longing (at times) for a morning in church, full of organ music, choirs. the little ones going out to their own group and a solemn benediction at the end of the service. I think that's mainly my love of tradition and feeling as if I'm part of something greater and more knowledgeable than me. It's a bit of a contradiction really, but true none the less. Most times though while everyone else is singing their hearts out I'll be out in the garden. There I'll discover a new bud on a reluctant rose bush or see my flower seedlings all aglow with new buds and the prospect of a lovely display. That's when I give thanks. That, to me is the Master at work.
cheers Cass

I share with you a nostalgia for some of that "old time religion" and on occasion we indulge. But, Sunday in and Sunday out, I do not miss the pomp and circumstance and the new politics involved in my former churches. We make a donation to the Salvation Army or similar and go park our RV for a walk in the woods, or beach. Thanks for your wonderful review!

My father did not believe in organized religion. He said it was unnecessary to have a man hired to preach the word of the Bible. All one has to do is look around to see the work of the Lord. I wish you the best in the contest.

So wonderful to hear from you. I am 74. My father would agree with yours as would I. I have become even more frustrated with all the pomp and circumstance entered into some services and, even more, with the trend that churches talk politics. My old Methodist Church just beat on us about global warming. I did not go to church to hear about global warming!!! Avoiding the extremely warm place
is a good goal. Anyway, thanks for your thoughtful and enthusiastic comment.
