Congratulations on your well deserved win! This story gave me goosebumps. Now you know there is truly something after death, that makes dying so much easier. I've said recently, that the older I'm getting, the more nervous I'm becoming. Is there something, or are we just hoping. Your story is clearly written with enough detail to be able to envision your encounter. The cabin had an interesting history of being knocked down and rebuilt. I'm glad your friends believed you, and a picture of the original owner was available. It has been said that truth is stranger than fiction. This is such a case.

I enjoyed your story. I've had my own experiences so I have no difficulty believing you. I've often wondered why more people done experience ghosts, or perhaps they just don't admit to it. I'm certain that there's no shortage of otherworldly visitors!

I put all three of my ghost encounters in FS. This was by far the scariest and most profound. Check out The House On Galbraith Line and Unexpected Guest in my profile. Both actually placed 1st and are true accounts.

This story, Class is in Session, finds the spectral ghost visiting a fisherman in Wisconsin. I hope I never see such a sight. You laid out the scene well and the explanation of the sighting seems genuine.
