This was very nice. I enjoyed the flow and the word use. I think some people don't appreciate religious poetry because it tends to preach but when put in a form of a story and honest circumstance then it has life. Thank you.

I don't know if any of us can know the purpose of God.Years back a dying muscian asked in desperation 'Why did God make me' .50 years after his death a whole town gathered to recreate his musical magic. So God's purpose was clear ,to create music for generations to come ...God Bless!

It is indeed a dark and weary world with horrific stories on our screen each day. What is our function? Good question Roy. It certainly isn't to continue the hate and havoc. A thought provoking poem Roy, may faith and peace be our answer.
Keep well Roy,
Valda

Hallelujah to The Lamb of God! Yes, we do fall sort, but what a bright day in Heaven it will be when Jesus returns for us. And if we no longer are alive, then we will be raised up on the sweet day. As always Roy, your poems are sweet fellowship for my eyes, ears, heart and soul! I am so blessed every time I read one, for I feel my heart being washed white as snow every time you or anyone speaks of how clean we become by the washing from the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior! Thank you for your constant reminders. of how blessed we are!

Roy, beautiful poem and message. Knowing God loves us unconditionally is a precious thing. Humans error but we can admit we try our best and we are willing to learn.

We can learn much from nature, it's not good or bad, it just "is"

Well done

This poem has nice rhyming and tells of faith and redemption. It reminds us of the sacrifice is the root of belief and forgiveness.
Keep writing and stay healthy

"For nothing else can please the Lord, but faith in sacrifice,
His blood that's shed can cleanse all souls, our faith pays every price."
I like how you often begin your poems with a question, and then proceed to give an answer with scriptures to back it up.

Yes, Roy, one may ask why is this all this happening to us? Well, I certainly don't have the answer and who really does? Man can be cruel and he shows that side of him right now. It's scary.
You seem to have the answer, which comes through in your poem. Ulla:)))

I think it's a great poem of redemption. I liked the long, languid lines here, they made for a tranquil mood and a sense of being at peace with the nature of things. You had a great image in the lofty mountains pointing to the sky, the way above the fray and the frustration and the failings, so to speak. It all hangs on the sacrifice of Jesus. He is our redeemer. estory
