I have also been praying for those in Florida and so many who have lost so much still need our prayers. I had relatives in Florida and so far they seem fine. It is the homeless who need our prayers now.

Your prayer-poem is excellent in all respects--well rhymed and metered, sincere in tone and message; your figures of speech are effective, describing what so many are facing right now!

Thanks for sharing this prayer, Roy, for the situation in Florida. My daughter and her husband are scheduled to be in Florida next week for the General Conference of UPCI and are anxiously waiting to see if their flights are going to be cancelled. As of now, Orlando airport is closed.

I join you in your prayer, Roy. I'm extremely grateful you've lent your skill to this, as my prayer/poem would have fallen far short! (I'm sure God would have accepted my effort, but how much more beautiful to let him know your words of grace speak for me as well!)

Roy,
This is a nice call to prayer for the safety of man and beast in those areas that are expecting hurricanes. Of course, I will pray for them. At also those hit be Fiona earlier.

Thank you so much, Roy!!! Yes, we agree with you in prayer. I've been praying for safety for Sally, Shari, and Barbara (country ranch writer). I think Thomas Bowling lives in Florida, too. Thank you for calling all to pray! The current path shows further south than previously predicted.

We are so fragile, all of us. Natural disasters, wars... It's lovely of you to write about this with a twist: prayer can protect us humans.
Lovely poem as usual, Roy.
But, more importantly, thanks so much for caring.

We're all praying for the safety of the folks, and animals, too. What a frightening thing to be in the pathway of this terrible storm. While very beautiful, nature can also be very destructive.

I have always loved that Bible story, Roy. "Peace, be still" Was all he had to utter and the turmoil ceased and there was smooth sailing from then on. He can calm any storm in our lives. We only need to ask him for help. It has always worked for me. Well done. Nancy:)
