Yes, you gave nothing away by your title and image. Well done. The poem is different and original, and shows your creativity in presentation as well. Best wishes for your entry in the contest.

love this 5-7-5 take on love and what does it all mean anyway? I like the contrast between the first word and the last line which kind of answers the question that is indeed imposible to really answer

The author's words are interesting, descriptive and creative. I pondered
on the last line and for me love is a choice we must make everyday. It is
also a commitment where we show respect daily. The poem flows and
connects well. The artwork is awesome and goes well with these words.

A wonderful poem for the contest. It is very to the point and follows the 5-7-5 wonderfully. I believed you can't capture love but can capture freedom. After reading your poem and looking at the picture, I would have to agree. I would love to give this 6 stars but have used all that I am allowed. Well done.

"Request Impossible" is a very short poem that denies the possibility capturing love from someone who's free. Because of its brevity, it's impossible to do more than speculate as to what this means; is it a semantic question having to do with defining love and freedom? Is it a rejection of love as an intolerable relationship for a free person to engage in? The second line implies that the, "Words to lasso it to me" are [the last line] "You can't capture free." Since it can be lassoed, love does seem to be something that can be captured, so the poem seems to embody a contradiction. If that was the intention of the author, I would argue that, while poetry is not an exercise in logic, it needs to express itself in terms that lead somewhere wherein an interpretation can be made. If the contradiction is the subject of the poem (and indeed it could be) Eg., 'Words to capture love/ lured it close to me/ Love spread its wings and fled.

What an excellent 5-7-5 love poem! It is the first I've read for the contest, but it says it all. Love must be freely given, not captured.
No errors to correct or suggestions to make - this was exactly right.
Blessings and best in the contest,
Deb

Words are not enough to capture love. Your 5-7-7 expressed that feeling well, for there is nothing like freedom, especially when your heart is in love. Both make you feel like flying.

Your poem is very compact with a very full message. Your title states that the request is impossible - and it is impossible to "capture love" as love is given freely. That's how I read it. The poem is also very colorful. Best wishes in the contest!

You chose a colorful and imaginative illustration for your poem. Lines one and two seem related, but the third line switches gears from 'love' to 'free' or 'freedom.' I had a little trouble making that leap. No spelling errors. Some will love the font or text varieties and colorations, but it seemed a little overdone. The title is on the unique side and is a strong point.
Best wishes.
