Congrats on second place in this contest...

It's a well written fictional account that I bet plays out more often than we realize.

For these two characters, the only happy ending had to be together.

WHEW! That story is deep. It is well-told. The image fits perfectly. However, the font size needs to be larger for older eyes. Good luck in the contest.

Till death do you part. Stories like this HAVE to be fiction or FS reviewers couldn't handle it. I had a sister die of lung cancer. She was home in a hospital bed, unconscious from drugs and at the last instant, with her very last breath, she sat straight up in bed, pointed right at me and mouthed the words "I Love You". Not fiction. I will ever forget it.

Yours is a true tale of heartfelt love for one another. Sorrowful but true.

Such a sad story of love, but a well-written one. You built up well to the last sentence. Sending you best wishes for your entry in the Flash contest.

This one-hundred-word story, True Love, has the required word count and tells a sad story of cancer and suicide. The first-person narrator leads to the problem of the ghost narrator, that a third-person perspective would eliminate.

What a sad Flash Fiction story you have penned here. It is totally unexpected that the husband would decide to die alongside his wife. Touching, but tragic. Kate xx

This was a sweet and romantic story. My only complaint is that you told it in the past tense, which gives the impression that they lived through this events. Thanks for sharing.

This is an exceptional entry in the Flash 100 writing prompt contest. A perfect example of the universal definition of unconditional love.

"No one has greater love than this: that one should lay down his life for his friends.

Cheers,

Eugene

What a sad, but well written contest entry, Mystery Author.
Your story tugs at readers' hearts from the start. The picture
was supporting. Your twist at the end was unexpected, but
fitting.
Best wishes in the contest, Jan
