You were given a treasure that few people have the pleasure. A true friend is like a rare gem. Do you still see each other? You must have made wonderful memories together and thanks for sharing this one.

Every year. We just met up last weekend, and it was as wonderful as ever.

I thoroughly enjoyed your story. Everyone longs for a best friend like yours. Everyone needs the security of a relationship in which truth is told with the best intention.
You are a great storyteller in part because you have such a sense of fun and humor. Keep 'em coming. And have fun on your girls' trip.

Best/good friends are closer than sisters (Actually, the maxim is for brothers, but who's counting?)
I can't see 5'5"1/2 as anything but a bit taller than average, especially in heels.
Well written. Good work.

True! But I've grown up as the runt in my family (my sisters are 5'10", my brother 6'1"...)

Everybody needs at least one friend like this - where it's impossible to offend one another. I have two, and the defining feature of my relationship with both is that, even if it's been years since we saw each other, we'll be talking rubbish within moments of meeting. With one, I can have entire conversations in movie quotes. The other is the only person I've ever been able to collaborate with on stories.

I loved reading this - your mutual affection shines through!

Mike

What fun times you have made for yourselves. Have these been lifelong friendships? I also think it's a huge sign of lasting friendship when, despite how long it's been, you pick right up wherever it was you left off. Nothing tops that.

Thanks for the really ice review, Mike.

What a wonderful thing that you have such a great best friend. Your ability to be so different and not try to change for each other is a real blessing. You are really lucky.

This is a lovely tribute to SueAnn and your friendship. Not everyone gets to have that kind of relationship that you two have, and I'm glad that you don't take it for granted. This essay is well written. It flows well, is grammatically appropriate and the structure is sound. Also, it held my interest the entire way through. Great job!

I can just picture you and your bestie friend out together! A best friend who knows you so well, and loves you regardless, is one to keep and cherish forever. Which I'm sure you two will. I'm losing mine fast. Why do we grow old?? I really enjoyed your romps with your friend, Rachelle, they were such fun to read. Love and hugs, dear friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I'm having such a giggle with some of the pearls in your book! I hope you're selling loads. Love you. xxxx

I'm sorry to read that you're losing your beloved friend. As my friend and mentor, Ann, who's now 87, says, "Old age is NOT for sissies." Sending you such love, Sandra.

Thank you for your warm and wonderful review and for mentioning the Key of Life book, as well! So glad it's bringing you smiles. xo

You're friend is so right, unfortunately. Nothing we can do about it, but at least we have so many amazing memories. xxxx

Thank you for sharing your best friend with us. I enjoyed reading and feel all women should have that type of female friendship. I'm not sure men do. I know they have best friends, but I don't think to that depth.

I'm not even sure they "need" that kind of depth the way we women do...although I almost think that's why they have wives, right? I'll have to ponder this. Thanks for the very nice review. xo

Oh, sweet Rachelle! I smiled through my tears, remembering just such a bestfriend/sisterhood with Karla-- Who was as much like you as I am like SueAnne!

(Okay, I'm very short, but the bohemian style fits!)

I met Karla in our early twenties. I was angling for her brother, but shoot! Our friendship swept over us like a tidal wave of joy!

We, too, had a standing weekend away every year, generally in early fall.

We sassed and joked and let it all out without a single minced word--and we thrived!

Sadly, ovarian cancer took her much too soon.

Such relationships live on in our hearts, though.

I'm counting on her to pick up right where we left off when I catch up with her!

What a joy to read!

Karenina

My heart thumped reading this entry. I love my adventures with my best friend, and we, too, tease each other mercilessly. It is the best! Women need a sisterly connection with a friend. Especially when they don't have a sister, like me. I connected so much with this chapter. So many comparisons between my life and friendship! Thank you for writing this book. I get so excited when I see your name in my messages.
