Well done on your third place. This is a striking image with a fittingly strong verse. So limited by the word count, you did a great job here! Best wishes Debbie

Hi June,
This six words are so true. Jealousy and envy create more problems than they cure. If they cure any. The artwork shows how scary and beastlike the emotion makes a person.
Congrats on placing third in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Joan

Thank you - it was a pleasant surprise to place in the contest. Was afraid the artwork would be off putting. But then jealousy isn?t attractive. Lol

Well thought out June and a great comparison. Love can wither if its not looked after with care, same as our gardens do. Good luck in the contest, loved this. Cheers Valda

Hey there June. Hope you are well today. Your short verse is packed full of meaning and the use of the birds is a good way to illustrate your meaning. I enjoyed reading it and wish you luck, my friend.

Now you know a wren could never be friends with an owl or a vulture or a chicken hawk. Right? LOL Just saying...
Nice thought though. Love the thought and the picture too. Well done, June. Good luck. Nancy:)

Poet in 6 words speaks about our co-existence, man and ant, we can't be friends for God creates us for living in co-existence and not for living as friends as we make friends with man and not ants; well said, well done, post god speed more, share post not 4 self-joy-pride but 4 God and readers worldwide Alcreator Litt Dear (DR)

That is a beautiful image June. When I was compiling my book of birds I found out that sometimes birds will feed other Chicks that are unrelated to themselves and are completely different species, but their mothering instinct kicks in, I found that to be so endearing, as you say it is a pity that humans cannot do the same, fine words June, love Dolly x

I'm glad you enjoyed this one on the harmony and caring in the natural world. If only humans could reach out to one another in the same way - building bridges instead of walls, peace would become a reality. Thank you for sharing your insightful comments.

Yes! Why CAN'T we be friends? As I was looking outside my office window I saw a chipmunk run across the grass to steal some scattered birdseed on the ground. There were already several different species of birds there, a wren, mocking bird and cardinal! They do not usually get along! I wanted to snap a picture and write something like you just wrote.
I said all that to say...your picture of unity and diversity existing together, peacefully is an amazing thing to see!
Love this. If I had a six, it's be yours! If this is a voting contest, you have my support!

Thank you for sharing your insights! Our daughter was filling the bird feeder for a family of robins when she dropped some on the grass. A raccoon later spotted them and ate the seeds he liked. A chipmunk afterwards polished off the rest. Nature has a way of coexisting peacefully. Man should learn to do the same.

That's cool that we had similar experiences that taught us the same thing! Amen, June, Amen! Let peace begin with us.

This six line poem is very true. In the natural world creatures seem to be able to find harmony with other creatures that are unlike them. That is at least among the herbivores. It is too bad humans who have more qualities in common than those that are different often can't seem to find common ground.
