I've actually seen him on the site ever so often. I haven't gotten around to reading some of his works. Bases on your review to his work ethic I'd say I should be grateful to recieve as much feedback he gives. I will make sure to take it into consideration.

Namari, thank you for reading, he is a terrific writer, a good reviewer, check him out!

Well, you certainly did write a fine tribute to Humpwhistle. And his writing is excellent. And he is, I'm sure, the winningest contest ... well, winner in the history of FanStory. He could probably tile the roof of his home with spent Visa gift cards.
What's a little confusing to me is whether Lee of Humpwhistle fame is, in fact, Lee Child, of Reacher fame. That would indeed be a feather in FanStory's hat -- and I, too, would be left wondering why he is spending time at Fanstory. And I have pondered why he so rarely reviews other writers here -- that even before you outed him (LOL) as Lee Child. I have also noticed that his responses to reviews of his stories, tend to be of the short "thank you" variety. It is all rather puzzling -- and I mean no disparagement. He is obviously a busy man.
At any rate, your "ode" to Humpwhistle is given with respect and reverence and I'm sure he appreciates your "ode" to him.

Thank you, the Ode was only a shadow of your FanStory interview.

Your ode read well, Mystery Author. You gave praise to
him and supported your opinions with facts. I like the
way you organized your work and the smooth flow. You
gave praise where praise was due,
In conclusion, best wishes in the contest, Jan

This is a great tribute to a fine writer. I am sure he will appreciate this post. Thank you for sharing the information about Humpwhistle. I will have to pay more attention to his post and reviews if he gives one. Thank you for the awareness. It was an honor to read about him in this post.

This was quirky and kinda of fun. It also left me sort of scratching my head. It made me wonder if you had written this at some earlier date, when: RG, Roy, Debi, Dolly, Miss Merri, Shelly, Karenina, Robin, Lilly, Nomi, Helen, Paul, and Wendy, might see it and chuckle. Good job!

Thank you for reading, I don't like your rating and I did write the story about Humpwhistle this morning, I did mention the poets, and they are all excellent poets, because I thought it was fun, and yes if they read it, they might get a chuckle or two.
I was told by one of the long-time members this is the first time they have seen something like this, and thus she liked the new creative approach to appreciating a great writer.
It is intended to be a fun piece about a wonderful writer read his stuff and you will see. He is also very private, so I hope he reads it and finds it fun as well. The people who have reviewed this have laughed and enjoyed the work. Still, you are entitled to your opinion. I cannot sign my name because it is blind contest and against the rules.

Just one more thing, I see you are new , so welcome. If you give a review of less than 5 you tell the writer what they need to do to improve the work. A 3 means it?s pretty bad and needs a lot of work. So be prepared to offer a lot of advice.
This story has received either a 5 or 6, with your exception.
You can change your ratings but that is your call. Enjoy the site.

This is fantastic!
First of all, I have found myself in the same contest with him and thought, "Oh, f#&k, there goes my chance of winning!"
When I review his work, I edit like I would if I were turning out an important story.
I don't write a lot of poetry, so I don't worry about competing there.
Congratulations, you've earned 6 stars for writing about someone who consistently receives 6 stars!

Of course I've read an known Lee since I entered this site in 2012, I don't think he reads much of my poetry, he doesn't really understand it, but being musician, we have that in common, he's the master of the slick vocabulary, but lately has broken away from that. Beautifully written my friend, I don't think I'll write an ode, but he's a fascinating guy, and worthy of it, well done, great tribute though, blessings Roy

I happen to agree 100% with this contest entry. I have been a fan of Lee's for years and every time I read his posts; I'm amazed at his characters. He's the best character writer I've ever read. Thank you for sharing this entry with us. Good luck with the contest.

This is a fun, humorous poem about one of our illustrious writers on the site. He has reviewed me before, and I know I've reviewed him. Now, that's scary... telling a professional writer things that I think are wrong with his work! This is a lovely 'ode' to Mr. Humpwhistle. You did him proud. Bravo!

Yes, I did recognize that it was done as humor and I take it with a grain of salt. Hahaha

Lee was going strong when I left the site 8 years ago, so it's great to see him still here and rockin' it now I've returned. Your essay was a lot of fun, packed with appropriate levels of humour. I very much enjoyed the read.
