We entertain in nursing, and it's only in recent times have we started to receive bookings for more shows. A lot of the entertainment groups have disbanded, because of a booking hiatus, we nearly did. But I can tell you there were a lot of lonely people in those nursing homes, beautifully written Heather, , thanks for this, blessings Roy

I know, Roy. This was actually a hospital (I probably didn't say), but my mum has dementia and lives in a nursing home because she needs round the clock care. Funnily enough she's very happy, but it's heartbreaking to see her.
    Thanks for your review.

I?m sorry Heather it must be devastating.

It?s sad because she?s not the person she used to be. But it?s life. And maybe it?s happened for a reason. If she was okay and aware my sister has died, she?d never have recovered. Thanks for your kindness.

Perhaps I am sensitive to this situation at the moment, but I found this neglect of comfort and dignity tragic, and the end made me cry. What a terrible end to a life hard run. It is an outstanding piece of writing in my opinion. Kate xx

I'm sorry I made you cry, Kate. I never meant to do that.
I'm very sensitive in real life, but when it comes to fiction I think unhappy endings are often more realistic. Sometimes I forget not everybody feels the same way.
Thanks so much for your words and your generous rating.

It was a compliment. I love to feel strong emotions when I read. To me it's a sign of a powerful author.

I have seen this scene in action at the hospital when my Father was there and several elderly patients were neglected and left for dead, there just wasn't enough staff and many died alone, a very sad write Heather, love Dolly x

I'm sorry it made you sad. I find it sad in real life. We should take better care of the elderly and sick people in general.
    Thanks for reading.

The story started off very well but I'm sorry I didn't really get what happened in the end ? Did Gloria die and so the sheets were changed ? All the best to you in the contest.
With regards

Exactly. You understood perfectly. That's common practice in NHS hospitals over here.
    Thanks for reading.

I love your flash fiction story. Unfortunately, the realization of the world today is that nurses don't have time for one-on-one with their patients. Everything has been cut, so the hospitals can make money. It was different at one time. Great job. Shirley

It's the same over here and something similar is happening at schools. It seems Education and Healthcare don't matter.
    Thanks so much for reading.
