This is a wonderfully funny poem of silly words and sillier ideas. Any child will love it! My favorite stanza is: Lots of jumbly phrases, Sweets from the honey bees. Maybe a gnarly turn of phrase And a whisper from the trees.

I love it. One of the best things about being literate is the fun you can have with words. You can play around and create new and fun words from actual words and still be understood. You can describe things, people and situations with made up terms and your literate readers will not only get , but actually laugh their heads off at your creativity. Very good work.

'Threw it altogether.' Interesting children's poem. Throughout your lines Blackpool shone through. I liked it. I could see a child trying to work out the jargon and put the pieces together. Still none the wiser for what is Wacky Doodle? K xx

What an exceptional poem! I am bookcasing it for my granddaughter, who is going to jump straight into the spirit of the words. I won't be able to understand her for a week! lol Well done!
Hey... I'm not sure what your plans are for this poem (besides a win!) but several of us here on FS and a couple of other writing sites are putting together a kid's anthology. If you're interested in joining us, PM me. :)
Blessings and thank you for the fun!
Deb

'Which Way', is a well-written and entertaining piece. With craft and skill. This talented writer has told it as they see it. Good luck with the contest. Please let me know how you get on?

Stu,
This poem shows how nonsense words can make sense. It seems to be making some tongue in cheek fun of how the rich over do things sometimes. Knowledge and wisdome come from taking things as they come.
Kind of reminds me of the Jabberwocky, but much easier to figure out.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writng and stay healthy
Joan

There's nothing quite like nonsense to put a smile on my face and your poem did just that. I enjoy reading serious stuff that makes me think, but this bit of fun wins me over every time.

I was reading your portfolio and I must say I'm very impressed with your career background. You served in the military and were a stockbroker and now you're writing silly stuff for the kiddies. Holy Moly - I'm impressed. Regards, Lilly

That was a fun poem, Stu, in nice little stanzas that children can memorise. I thought the ending was perfect. They've all been trying to find for the one who did the Whaky Doodle and in the end it was us! Lol. Well done and good luck! :)) Sandra xx
