Nice story.
Persecution in our schools is growing daily. Though your story is fiction, it could be someone's true story.
I found a few spots that you might want to fix.
"she saw him putting my backpack under the seat"
"can let that boy say he's met, Jesus", no comma after met.
Good job.

Since I went to parochial school, I never encountered this sort of thing, but I know others who have. What's so unbelievable about a visit from Jesus? In today's world, it's not a wise thing to admit, but we must not bow to the unbelievers. I look forward to seeing what happens with Sean.

Sadly, with all the alternative views that children are exposed to today, they don't know what to think about anything. And they are bombarded with these ideas long before they are ready to make stable choices for themselves. Thanks for sharing.

It is a shame that children are taught so young that there is no God. When we were public school, no one thought anything was wrong with having prayer and talking about God. Things have really changed. I'm enjoying story.

This was a powerful story on a couple of levels. First you have this great scene where this grief stricken boy sees Jesus and the savior gives him hope. I think that part might be a great little story for kids, and I wonder if you could publish it. The dialogue is realistic, the scene is real life, and the theme of giving people hope through faith is important. The second part is not really for kids, but it is important in that it raises this politically atmosphere of religious discrimination and modern day persecution that we find in these schools that worry about aclu lawsuits. We see this principle worrying about saving his job as he orders this kid into therapy, and we also the threat to his young faith. A powerful pair of stories in this post. estory

This novella was a deeply written story.
Rich in Theme and Imagery.
Sometimes things don't always work out the way we expect it to
Thanks for sharing this and have a great day.

The world is a different place today. My father avoided churches and preachers, yet he did believe in God. He said one did not need a preacher to tell them about God. All one has to do is look around them at the wonders of this world. Your story is very believable in today's world.

Yes, you're right, Jesus warned us that because they hated Him, they will most likely hate us, and despite the evidence of good behaviour it won't matter, only to those who who are connected to the same Spirit, beautifully written, blessings Roy
