This was a very original theme and well executed haiku. I learned a lot from your notes as well about this condition.

Sparkling message in the frame of what I observe to be a scientific-nature haiku...Could be a new trend.

Beautiful poetry and illustration. The authors notes are interesting. One of my favorite songs is" Both Sides, Now" by Joni Mitchell where she sings about "ice cream castles in the air and feathered canyons everywhere, I've looked at clouds that way".

This is a good mixture of artwork and words. These three lines use metaphor well to remind us the stormy weather can be interesting but it also can bring on or deepen depression.
Congratulations of placing second in the contest.

Hi Mark, your three-line poem is filled with vivid imagery--no fluff or wasted words. I especially liked: Rorschach* fantasies. Thank you for the informative author's notes. I think that I would fail the ink block test or people would be shaking their heads in wonder. Excellent photo choice. A pleasure to read. As this is a contest enry, I wish you good luck. This is a cool haiku that could open up a whole new route to therapy- take the patients outside on a cloudy day - and let their imaginations run wild! Then take a lot of notes...lol

Very cool. I see a dragon...

I've never outgrown the cloud shape game...
the twist is to don't with storm clouds...

And "stormy" brains do call to mind The Rorschach Test...

    Sorry Karenina, but my imagination never saw your dragon. Maybe they don?t exist in the NY skies. Yes, the white puffy ones in fair weather may indeed be a better method to analyze them. With stormy black ones, one should stay inside! (-;

    Or maybe I was listening to Imagine Dragons? No, no, I just went back, there's a dragon there in the darkness amidst the stormy cloud! Somebody please hand me the laser pointer! (Grin)

There was a time when the Rorschach test was rather popular. I was afraid of getting the wrong answer:))
I think this is one of your more clever haikus. It's as if you aced the test... you see things that others fail to see, and convert it to haiku-speak. I love it. Congrats!

This well written, thoughtful poem resonates with me because of the times I've had a different "take" on what clouds look like than other observers. Great metaphor

    So what do you see? LOL I remember taking a course that used the Rorschach ink blots as an experiment. Apparently, I was not diagnosed with mental illness (-; I appreciate your take on my metaphor.

    And what about those pictures, sketches, that you're supposed to stare at for a while and--suddenly you'll see a certain thing: a tree, a heart, whatever? I NEVER see anything of the sort, and my eyes get crossed!
