This is a well written poem. Your syllable count meets the requirements for this writing prompt. I can imagine the empty halls, and quietness as depicted in your poem. Your picture compliments the poem well. Nice job.

I really liked this. The words and picture together reminded me of all the students, generation after generation, who walk the same halls in search of the same better life that we promise each generation that comes along. Sweet poem.

This is an excellent 2-4-4-12 poem for the contest
with a theme many can relate to, as buildings, schools,
restaurants, and companies close their doors for the last time.
Nice addition of the rhymes and good picture choice.
