Looks like you won the contest and in your marriage! Often it's the differences, once we get used to one another, that teach us patience and bring new color to our lives! There is always an occasional "royal" bump in the road...but hey, that's when I put alligators in my MOAT!

Hahahaaha, see we even made it thru the Dairy Queen/cherry fiasco. Lol...
You are going to see me respond to one of these every once in a while when I have something not real personal to tell you and also let you know again how much it means that you read this one. We are as opposite as night and day and yet have realized thru the years we have taught each other some great values. I had work ethics before, but honey, this man is a demanding workaholic. I have tamed that but also taught him what it was to love. In all out married life we have maybe missed five days because of unresolved anger that is usually me. He forgives easier than I do. But anyway missed only that in saying we love each other morning and night and sometimes during the day. Especially if he is going somewhere, he brings me the remote as I still struggle with walking, but kisses me goodbye, says I love you and the door is locked. LOL. I recite it with him and he shakes his head...
So I guess it is not so bad...
Now what was I going to tell you..... Oh yeah, I went into settings as I do every couple months and they have new colors that brighten up your FS home away from home. I changed mine to one called fire. It is cheerful and I am just weird how just a change can make me happy. So sorry for the going on and on about us, but it felt good to tell someone today. Since we will be fifty years next May, I am too aware that someday one of us could see the others chair empty. And Glen is over three years older than me, but I think his health is better. He does have heart disease tho.... I think I am going to go tell him again that I love him...I forgot about that dang heart stuff.
And one more time let me tell you how much I love you and appreciate you.

It truly is! I can't thank you enough for your kind review & encouraging words for my poem. We have lost many of our friends, which have have left their wives widowed; one who had a spat that morning & before they made up, he had a massive heart attack. She lives with this pain daily & has yet to forgive herself. I guess that's a very big reason for trying to get this message out there. I know one of us will someday have to face the reality of losing the other. So I never hold onto foolish pride & let anytime go between an argument & forgiveness, it just isn't worth it! Sorry for going on & on.......
