It is sad when someone give up. To throw in the towel, is not a great choice. Having someone trustworthy to talk to would be great. This is a great story in a poem. Keep up the great work. Stay safe. Good luck.

Great to see you again, kahpot. And you have delivered a fine acrostic poem, about a court manuscript that alleges the "boy" knew and understood what was happening. Although without the author note I wouldn't have taken away quite that meaning.
It seems to me the adult is always responsible, and it seems this young fellow is deeply troubled and haunted by these memories and alluding to his demise in the ocean.
As always an image filled and highly atmospheric write. Wishing you all the best with the Contest Committee. :))
