A touch of wicked in your sense of humor, your review caught my immediate attention. And I wasn't disappointed a tiny bit when I tuned in to find that personality shining through your poetry. As I've often said, when it comes to poetry, I wouldn't know a sonnet from sorbet. But even I can sometimes see the creature in the shadows. :-) Thanks for sharing.

I used to write a lot of horror haiku with Dean Kuch and you are right. But he wrote almost exclusively horror and he did it so well people liked it or just respected him. You are right, it's hard to go against the grain. Only Christian no other religions, Republicans not Democrats, etc... I try to stay away but like you sometimes I do it anyway. We are rebels! LoL

You seem to have misunderstood the contest rules but that could be because the title of the prompt is a little misleading. If you reread the contest page again, you'll see what it actually means is that you must use the 3 words "animal, horror, short" in a poem. Not just 3 words. There's plenty of time for a fix. Let me know when you revised it and I'll up the rating.
