I really like the way this story is developing. You are very good at crating heroic male characters as well as women who are strong, accomplished and pretty much unafraid. The world needs more of them and the men who love and get along with them by making room for them, as opposed to standing in their way.

Some men are threatened by strong women. Thank you for the kind review.

Naming them 'hero and Heroine in the notes, Barbara, don't you think that takes the unknown out of the story? Labeling them means the who or what is already imprinted in the reader's mind, and leaves little room for surprise...only expectation. Also, more press on the author to show the characters as hero and heroine, instead of just letting things grow on the reader.

I already notice a distinct change in the behaviour of Cordero where I sort of labeled him a bit of a chauvinist, to now when super nice,,,and seems leading up to a love story.
It could be nice if he still had some of those negative tendencies to cement a character, perhaps, one open to change, from a more confident, if demure, Alexandra.

Good writing here. Nicely controlled and very easy to relate to.
There is a good feeling to this book. I hope it gets the recognition deserved.
I will look in again soon.
My best wishes.
RG

Thank you for dropping. I will delete the hero and heroine from the notes. I don't use those notes in the actual book anyway. Just people from FS expect them. LOL I hope you got to read this with money attached.

Another exciting love story with a lot of furry friends this time. Just one thing below:

Rosa eyed her son. "Klaus and Otto are better trained than Samson. Samson's owner spoilt him rotten." "....[spoiled] him rotten.

Getting a bit dramatic. Ali is getting to know the downside of ranching. This was a great read. I am glad I have caught up. Keep it all coming. No spags anywhere.

A good insight into the technicalities and the subtleties of handling a horse .It dialogues were smoothly flowing and the couple had their first tiff..quite romantic.

Riding a horse is like anything else, you have to be trained to ride so you know what you are doing. Reading your story brings excitement to surface again; I'm sure that the contents will be written brilliantly.

I enjoyed this chapter in your story. Sounds like Ali is catching on the riding really well. I can understand why Cordero was upset with her for going off on her own, not knowing the dangers she might encounter.

Like with most of us, we never see the danger in most things until something happens, and then it's too late. But I could never say anything, because I was the very worst. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

This was a good read, Barbara. They had their first "almost" fight over miscues. But one thing was conveyed. Someone may have been beating on Allie before. She got a little spooked.

Dad rode out to the sight to see if there are any tire marks or animal tracks. [I believe you should use "site" here. To be on the safe side, I looked them both up on Google and "Sight" is more connected to the eyes, while site is a place. I realize one can go sightseeing, but the emphasis is on the seeing, rather than the place seen. It's a close one, though.

I know I fixed it. I just checked and it's site. I guess it hadn't come through before you reviewed. That's strange, it says your reviewed it 16 hours ago and I changed it about 2:30. I guess it takes a while for it to take hold. Thank you.

No, Barbara, what happens is I downloaded it 16 hours earlier, but didn't read it until much later. I usually pull up all those I'm going to read when my allotted time for reading arrives, sometimes hours later.

Ok. That makes sense. I always worry that I forgot to save or something.
