This is a neat poem. I like the Roger's Refrain. I'm going to have to try it. The the little bit of repetition adds to the beauty of the poem rather than sounding too repetitive and annoying. It's a lovely picture and does look like woodland path worth walking on.

What a beautiful poem, the flow is superb, the rhyming perfect, the theme idyllic. One has to have the gift of an inner metronome to write as well as this, I'm a musician, it was before I was a songwriter, and now a pretend poet. But I do know rhythm, and you've got it Yvonne, well done, blessings riy

Thank you, Roy. I play the organ and piano. I've played for funeral wedding, you name it.

I was right, there you go, I have a head metronome, of course learning to play with a metronome has consequences, dee dee dee

I never used a metronome. My teacher thought it would be detrimental to depend on one.

I suppose they all have opinions, timing is not necessarily natural, we had a drummer, (he had to go) who got faster and faster. But I never struck a music teacher who didn?t use a metronome for students, a curious one.
