This is very well crafted. Not all athletes are interested in only the prize at the end. Some honor the competition and the sport. Just as there is a reward for athletes who do their best, there is also a promised reward to those with faith in God, who do their best in following His word, while avoiding the hurdles in life. Right?

I was the possessor of many trophies for at least four athletic disciplines, but at the beginning of my walk with God I threw them in the rubbish, Elaine rescued them, and left them to deteriorate in the shed. Although my granddaughter has won many trophies and medals, and I?m so proud of her.funny how it goes. At only ten she asked to be baptised, a few weeks ago, with tears in her eyes, she had gained her greatest ever trophy, thank you Liz, bless you.

I guess I fell off the wagon with this one. The athlete runs because he has been given the talent by our Lord and he uses it instead of wasting it. The Lord is always by our side and has given us the strength to achieve our best in so many ways. It's not a race between believing in our Lord and the final destination and a lower prize. We've been blessed in so many ways and as long as we stay true to our faith, He shall encourage us to achieve so much more.
