Yesterday has passed and cannot be changed. Today is here and we have the opportunity to make it great for ourselves and others. Today, we can plan for the good we can do for ourselves and others, tomorrow. We can make tomorrow a brighter day.

At this stage of my life, to wake up is an accomplishment that I do not take lightly. If one fails to grasp the true meaning of life, it becomes easy to get bogged down in the mistakes and failings of yesterday. We must divest ourselves of the guilt that threatens to drag us down and backward. Learn from our mistakes if possible, and move ever forward.

Today there seems to be more mountains to climb than there were in the past. I suppose that is the price that we must pay for progress. Although I sometimes wonder if what we are experiencing is really progress.

I like this poem; especially the following paragraph.
"If inspiration leads the way,
along with love, compassion, peace;
You'll find in this a better day,
past troubles will surely decrease."
We need love, compassion, and peace. Unfortunate these qualities do not exist in our politicians. How could we chooses a president who is famous for lying, cheating and still under possible criminal investigation.
Where is love and peace inside the hearts of the voters?
We need to restore the integrity of love and peace.
