I ask that we pray for those
who are less fortunate
that they will find shelter,
and food on this blessed holiday,
and always
(Linda, this Christmas I could not stop thinking about the people of Kentucky who lost their homes, church, township and more. As I said to my husband, "even Jesus had a manger to sleep in." These poor, poor people of KY have been left with nothing. For those, I pray.)

Hi Margaret, when I saw the videos of what the tornados
had done...I just laid on the couch and cried...and when I think about it...I still do...I told my girlfriend...if I were a billionaire...I would go there and start rebuilding their homes...as many as I could at a time...I prayed they all had family and friends to take them in...
I lived in Illinois...my husband passed and I...lived in Plainfield...it was called tornado alley...because a tornado went through there and traveled 120 miles...it was years ago...but that is what this tornado reminded me of...I have never seen one this bad in my life...it was overwhelming...

I did have a awesome Christmas...I went to my sons...and friends...and it was great...I gained over 2 pounds for the holidays...so after New Years...I'm going to try and drop them...LOL...
I haven't cooked for the holidays in a few years...most of the time I go to my girlfriends...or my sons...everyone wants to do there own thing now...I miss not having the house full on the holidays days...but time changes so many things...sigh...
I'm glad everyone else did everything for you on this holiday...

I have also been off and on the site a bit myself...
had a few deaths in my family...and a best friend...
was a bit overwhelming...
but with the people in my church being there for me...
and my girlfriend...it was her husband who passed...she is...and he was my best friends...there is some comfort there...
I hope you and your family had a blessed Christmas Day...

Thank You...it says all it needed to say...reminding us of the reason for the season...Jesus Christ birthday...and remembering to pray for the less fortunate...and those who have lost so much this year...and always...
I see your new...we have the right to make suggestions about other peoples writings...but not to personalize them for ourselves...low ratings are for mistakes made...

not because someone feels the writing should say something they would want it to say...
corrections of mistakes are a good thing...
they are what is rated...
personal suggestions are a good thing...I have used some of the suggestions people have given...but because you make a
suggestion...doesn't warrant a low rating...

this year has been so bad for so many...
I think what you and your hubby want to start for the homeless
is wonderful...today any help done...is a blessing...
