I entered this one too but I really like yours. I'm kind of a crazy cat lady but with only one cat. Your poem is great, the 'been' and 'then' kind of threw me off but the poem made me laugh, it's absolutely wonderful. Great job my friend.

Nice tongue in cheek humor. It is strange how our emotions work. Wiping out a family but hesitating when it comes to a cat that shows us some affection. Good humorous depiction of human nature. Easy to read and understand. Good meter. Nice handling of the rhyming couplet form. Good job overall. Cowboy
