We don't have Thanksgiving in Oz. I think I understand it was when your founding fathers planted a flag and called it America? Anyway, it was a long time ago. You get to eat turkey and corn and grits I think. Well written and I hope your day brings many blessings and the fighting will stop. K xx

it was different without so many of my loved ones passed...

This very lovely and perfect poem for this time of year. In Canada, our Thanksgiving is in October. I attended my grandson's home birth at 341 am then went home to make the dinner lol. Happy Thanksgiving to you. God Bless Laura.

Thanksgiving Day...It was a hard year this year...
I call my whole family...and friends...when I wake on holidays...
my mother is the first one I call...then my kids...and my sister...it just wasn't the same...
and I go to Donatta's (Keith's wife) for Thanksgivings...she couldn't do it this year...his passing...and today being his birthday was just to hard...I so understood...my son told me he wanted me to come by him...so I did for awhile...and grabbed a plate for my friend John who just lost his dog...and has no one...he didn't want to go with me to my sons...
everything was lovely...but WAYYYYY to much food...
but it just wasn't the same...sigh...
I am thankful for all God gives me...and feel very blessed...
for all my friends and family...my FanStory family as well...
your a special friend...Thank You...love you much...Linda xxoo

I'm so sorry to hear about the deaths in your family. So many loved ones leave us and we learn how fleeting life is on Earth.

Thank You Jay...lost my mom, seven weeks later...my sister...three weeks later...my best friends husband...a week later...my daughter lost her dog...and three weeks after that...they lady who sat next to me in bible study passed...
I'm ok...I know they are home now..in God's hands...but I sure miss them...still have my days...

I'm so sorry, sweet Linda. Losing your mother, then sister, just seven weeks apart. It's good to know your faith is your bulwark against loss. They are in God's hands but the grieving must go on. My prayers are with you. I hope you will have the warmth and love of the rest of your family during the Christmas Holiday season. God bless you, Linda.
