Haha. This is funny and sad, dark humor. Abortion is hard on people. I strongly believe women should have their choice for abortion. It's very personal and I think we should help women to raise kids easier.
Well done.

Thank you for your kind review. It is a tough subject with no easy solutions. Both the far left and right have had their hands in this, both sides trying to force or ban abortion though the state, as well as through the church. As you pointed out in your last sentence, we all have some duty to provide care and hope to women raising children.

I can see why this would upset some people, but all you are really doing is using different words to express what is actually happening. It's a powerful message. If this was indeed an advertisement, it's possible that pregnant women might see this, turn around, and think hard about their decision and their options. This piece shows that you have courage to say what you need to say!

Thank you VJ for your exceptionally kind six-star review. I could see it being used as an advertisement . . . and also getting sued by PP for it, haha

Your contest entry is worded in a way that causes much distress. However from your notes, I understand what you meant. I would never think this was a real ad. Your presentation worked well.
Respectfully, Jan

Thank you Jan for your thoughtful and kind review. It is a very hard topic, without easy solutions, for sure.

Hi Harambe,
whoa... this one smacks you in the face?
No, I wasn't expecting that!
There is so much dialogue concerning this issue. A very important dialogue for everyone, everywhere.
Here in Australia the governments are very Church influenced and have a hard line on this topic and assisted dying laws... without the proper avenues to discuss, debate and come to some kind of compromise, then we are not living in any democratic system.
Again, whoa, still smacking me in the face. Congratulations on you win... very brave and honest!
Very striking presentation.
With our thoughts we create...
Planning the unplanned.
Kind regards,
James.

Thank you James for your kind review.
Yes, it is not a simple topic at all.
Without compromise, rigid policies of any sort risk becoming totalitarian and causing more suffering than is prevented, as it sounds like it may be where you are in Australia.
And it will become far more complicated in the near future as human research accelerates, human evolution begins to accelerate, and it becomes less obvious what a human IS.
It also becomes complicated when an org like PP is one of the few that also offers pregnancy support services in an area. PP is starting to come to grips with the issues implicit in their history, but has yet to acknowledge the *systemic racism* implicit in their CURRENT abortion statistics.
(Well, that is how I am framing it. They would likely argue that they are doing the opposite, by assisting that demographic, though it does not help out the voting ratios for that demographic 18 years in the future.)
Best,
Harambe

Articulate in your response and so sad to the situation of who and what are singled out. I think the 'demographic' is where the 'powers to be' suit their agenda... as always. Let us pray it is not forever. Respect to you Harambe. Like I say every night before sleeping... "May I always fight the good fight'

Indeed. Conformity by authority! It takes guts to stand up to it.

Well, very srong...no holes barred. Meant to deliver with optimum force, it hits home, whatever side of the fence one is on. The image here does much to transport the imagery, so becomes a statement made, right down the line.
My best wishes.
Have a great day.

Thank you RGstar for your kind review. It is a harsh world we live in sometimes, full of difficult situations without easy answers.

This is a short opinoin piece. Planned parenthood doesn't only do abortion. They also help provide pregnancy care for those who want to keep their baby and adoption information. Though I believe I couldn't have had an abortion, I am glad I never had to make that choice.
Keep writing and stay healthy

You are right. They are also often the only pregnancy resource for certain services in some areas. It is imperative for PP's detractors to fund alternative services as well as post-pregnancy resources, like housing and education, for their their dissent against abortion to have integrity. Thank you DP for your kind review!

I can see where this brought out a number of intense reactions. I think there's many different scenarios, and I do not believe that A man should be telling a woman what she can or cannot do with her body. Just my opinion. Best wishes.

That is a fair point, for sure. Margaret Sanger said that the minister is the man who can straighten out the observation (that abortion is about exterminating the black population) if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members. Equally, someone who denies a woman an abortion but refuses to help her raise her child contributes nothing. So, I take no position here on the legal aspect of abortion. Moral choices have a cost, and we all need to do more to build a culture that welcomes and protects children.

I agree with your philosophy.

I enjoyed reading your writing prompt entry. I happen to agree. People talk about women's right. I believe they have a right to choose whether to have unprotected sex or now. They know it's possible to get pregnant, so make an educated choice before. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Barbara for your kind review. I guess unexpected pregnancies will always happen. Netflix did a really great short on it recently, which is on Season 2 of Love Death Robots, titled POP SQUAD. Highly recommended. Warning: it is violent.

I'm very, impressed with the bluntness you were able to put into this piece. The way you were able to articulate the nefariousness of what Planned Parenthood does to innocent babies was a very brave poetic endeavor for you to take. Well done your point was made loud and clear.

Thank you Justin for your kind review. Well it was anonymous at the beginning of the contest, but it is not any more, ha. We will see how long the second layer, my nom de plume, can protect me from the Cincinnati Zoo snipers.
