This is so delightful! I'm sorry to have missed this contest entry. I loved the conversational tone and that you not only showed us this special place but took us back into time and all the memories that are tied to this home. Congratulations on the win!!

This is a well done tour of your childhood home that has now become a parking lot. It sounds like in was cosy and full of love. Though small it contained a lot of love and happiness. The old picture is a good choice.
I like how you keep apologizing for keeping us too long. Then saying you have one more thing to show us.
I hope all you other homes were just as cosy but bigger.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Dear Joan, thanks so much for this lovely review! Hehe, that's funny you noticed I kept showing you "one more thing." (That is what I do in real life, too!) I do like cozy homes, but bigger is nice, too. *smiley face* Thanks so much for coming on the tour!

You are most kindly welcome, Mama. Bigger but not too big. It was a fun tour.

Okay, my favorite! I felt so at home in your description and the picture just accented the 'family' of the story. The details were right on and I didn't see any errors to correct. Good luck in the contest. You have my vote! ann

Why did I shed a tear when I read this? The way you presented this was amazing. I'm sure that this brought back a lot of memories for many. I would not be surprised if this won the contest.
