I am moved by this poem that marks the years of your life as they speed along. You have reminded us of the ups and the downs that accompany each of us through life. Expressing gratitude is also a significant part of our role as God's children. May God Bless you as you continue to experience His goodness.

Hello Jaybird,
I so enjoyed reading your sonnet for it is filled with honest reflections of a life lived long and well.
So many experiences you have had during your fruitful life.
Life ends for all of us at some designated time.
But know for a certainty that I am glad your words have touched my life over and over again...

Thank you!
diane

It's good to know that you want to live more. Aging can be hard but as long as there's life there's hope. Well done.

You have written a poem that many can relate to. "The wheels of my life keep daily spinning" is a wonderful line that draws the reader into your words and hold her there. More and more people are living to your age and longer, your poem shows how the mind can keep going and thinking. Excellent poem that touches the reader.

This is poetry written by someone who lived a life well spent, and is now writing words of wisdom to those of the same ilk and those who must also travel the long journey of life. The most important line in, "I have served my time and have served it well." We all should strive to be able to utter these same words, so "the powers that be continues to walk with us.

Yes, we do. This is a beautiful poem and a message to all of us, I think. I am only just coming into my own now after seventy two years of paddling trying to figure out where I was supposed to go. I have lot I still want to do but "Que Sera, Sera."

Wonderful poem about aging. What a blessing that you are at peace about the current "inning" and only ask that God walks this lonely phase of life with you. I'm impressed you are writing all these poems and sonnets even with your eyesight gone!

only time will tell. only fate can tell time. beyond our dreams, beyond our life,we live to tell the tales of truth. our truth is our present, our truth is our ending, and beyond life is another tale of our story life.
