Barbara--I love your writing. I've told you before that the reason I keep returning to FS is to learn. For sure, I always seek your work...Wonderful pace, dialog driven and wonderful and believable characters. An enjoyable read again. Just some thoughts below.

She had an all-expense paid (trivial, but I would replace had with earned)
four kilometer (hyphen, four-kilometer)
She actually teaches math, (hmmm. drop actually)
fifty pound bag of dog food. (you had several in this paragraph, pretty sure, fifty-pound, etc.).
"You don't need too." (to)

It seems like Gabriel is the perfect guy, especially in how he relates to the boys and the youngest has already given his permission to propose to his mom. Katherine is wise to be cautious. Nice chapter with good dialogue.

Congratulations to your granddaughter's second place win in the district race! And hope your wrist heals completely soon.

The opposing coach glare went (coach's)

Well, he has all the boys permission, now they have to sort out the problem of Katherine's in-laws and Mr Frost. I'm guessing Frost is still in the picture? I can understand her mentioning her friends experience, you just never know, but I think she is safe enough with Gabe. Another lovely chapter, Barbara. :)) Sandra

This chapter flowed smoothly with Gabe, Kate and children interaction a very heartwarming way. The stress on helping with household chores is very needed to the boys.
Glad that you are off medicines and your wrist is getting better.

Barb,

I'm so glad you're doing better - or at least making progress toward healing. That makes me happy.

I liked this portion of the story, of course. (I always do!) You have a natural talent for making things seem realistic and natural. Kudos!

Thanks!

(BTW - you can send those pain pills over here! My script doesn't refill till end of the week. The change in weather plays havoc with my migraines. hahaha But at least the depression is better!

I was having a really bad day Friday. I'd had it with everything. I told my husband I was depressed. He laughed at me. For real. He was making pizza for dinner. A while back I had our little dachshund, Harley registered as a service dog, so it would be easier to travel with him. I am his handler. He's to help me. While I was having a total melt down, my service dog was begging for sausage from my husband. I felt like not even my service dog is concerned about me. LOL

This chapter is like foreshadowing the happy times that are definitely coming in your story. Now, I'm hoping that you get good news at the doctor on Thursday and you'll be almost good as new before long!

-I like this chapter very much, barbara.
-I am glad things are improving with your wrist,
and I don't blame you about the typing method.
-Congratulations to your granddaughter, too.
-This chapter flowed very well, and I liked
the emphasis on family and responsibilities,
especially where the boys were concerned.
-They are learning a lot from the male
perspective, which is a good thing.
-Katherine and Gabe are more comfortable
with each other, and she doesn't question
why he is helping out so much.
-I like how he gives each boy a job
to include them in projects and also
learning responsibility.
-The "engagement scene" was priceless,
and Jeremy already gave his approval;
that was cute.
-I liked the ending, too.

Raising a house full of boys I am sure this write came easy. I raised three and three and none think alike. Good one, Barb.
You have hooked these two together for sure.
