This piece, Middle-class Taxes are Coming, certainly predicts taxes are an inevitability. With our country neglectng infrastructure for eighty years; Reagan, both Bushes, and Trump weaning people off taking care of the country through taxes and instead just letting it all go to hell to keep more money; someone has to take it in the neck for the common good. Don't worry though, no rich people funds will be expected to assist this crazy plan to do what do-nothing-is-better than-looking-bad conservative politicians would ever even consider.

Brett:

In my area, the middle class is actually having a tougher time making ends meet than the "lower" class - I hate that term - because of all the EBTs those families are receiving while the middle class is still paying for their food. We have families who do not bother to pick up their kids' food packages from the school division because they are already overstocked, but the school system is still required to send them out. Send the food to the homeless shelter, then.

I was wondering Brett, if the American national debt is through the roof, (I think one economist said America was affectively bankrupt) how do you suppose the government is going to service that? And seeing the government generates no income of its own. Somebody observed people putting money in the church offering, said how you guys contribute to this profit making org, I said, do you think we use no electricity, pay no mortgage, have a money tree? Beautifully written Brett, the bigger the national debt, the bigger the tax bill, simple maths, well done, blessings Roy

Good question. There is some talk about raising the national debt ceiling to contain it. But, add another three trillion and...?

Well, you'll get no arguments out of me that now is not the time to be doing all this excessive spending no matter how much it is needed. And yes, someone is going to have to pay for it with higher taxes, which the bulk of responsibility always falls on the middle-class tax payers. But I like how everyone always tries to prove their points by taking monthly figures since someone has been in office so they can lay all the blame on them. I've never been a Biden fan and that hasn't changed! But, as anyone familiar with the system, the problems we are seeing didn't start with Biden. The problems started as far back as twelve years ago. But still we all better get our wallets out, higher taxes are coming. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your prediction. One might as well say sunrise and sunset will occur tomorrow. I am long in the tooth and must say I never saw inflation or middle class taxes cease to go up. And until we somehow manage to have all people pay taxes, i.e. get rid of exemptions the process will continue.

I find your grammar and sentence structure to be within acceptable range. However, as a commentary there is too many generalizations and not enough specifics.

Also an article such as this should have footnotes where assertions can be checked. So as an essay this comes off as more opinion than fact.

Thanks for sharing. My review reflects the lack of sources and the large smattering of generalities.

you will get exactly what you asked for (I actually have said it to some, especially as things are happening that the Democrats said they were going to do. Ex, defund the police, their answer, 'we didn't really believe it would happen.')

"If the election was held today we (the Democrats) would lose." (No, they wouldn't they are attempting to make it a Federal Law that voter ID is outlawed.)

And American continues toward Marxism as we sit by and watch. Thank you for sharing.

I wish I had a basket of sixes for you, Brett! What this new president is getting away is unconscionable. I don't trust him or the wobbly structure that supports him. We have a myriad of other things affecting our nation, and immediate red flag concerns at the border. A government by the people and for the people. I think I read that somewhere.

I agree with with you on all fronts and especially on the Vietnam POWs still not taken up. I wrote about my brother Steve and his heroic service in Vietnam. He died from Agent Orange related cancer after returning to the states. He was a Green Beret and a Weapons Sergeant, serving three tours. This ungrateful addittude from a leader makes me nauseous. Sending you my very best for this marvelous post,
Sally :))

So what is it you actually want? An unstable Trump who one day had one opinion and then the next did something totally different, or maybe a more stable person, who like all of us has his flaws but doesn't come across like a madman? It saddens me that America is so divided. A well formulated essay. Ulla:)))

Do I want Trump? No, just a qualified President. Unfortunately, the U.S. is sadly lacking in that area. And, truthfully stated, don't really see anyone on either side of the house that fits the bill.
reply by Ulla on 12-Aug-2021
On that we can both agree. Somebody is urgently needed.
