There you go. Writing is an antidote to most types of boring and poisonous situations. A good writing session can make a dark day bright, a heavy mental lode seem suddenly light. I really am afraid of where I might be if I did not have reading and writing poetry as an escape option.

Jaybird, This is a very well written poem that is so full of the truth. It seems the older we get the more we are ignored. We are blessed to have our 33 year old son closer to us and he try to help us. It wasn't always that way. May God bless you and bring you lots of happiness my friend. Teri

The younger generation is missing an incredible opportunity to learn from you, JayBird!

You ought never be ignored my friend. The younger generation can barely pry their faces away from their phones and electronic devices enough to interact with any other "human." Poetry, however, is a lifelong friend that never leaves you and when you write you reach out to many friends you may not even realize you have!--Karenina

We become invisible as we get older as the world is run by young people and they strive and forge the world ahead with their enthusiasm, and the elderly are left behind! A fine write and at least your poetry keeps you busy and happy, love Dolly x

I will stay younger ones of today do not understand the wisdom our elders share. I never ignored my grandparents, because they were fun to sit and visit with. They stories they could tell. I wish they were here today, so I could listen to another story. Thank you for sharing.
