I think we've all had those nights that you described well in this Empat poem. It certainly is the time when all the fears come out of the shadows. Your words flow easily to tell this story in your Empat poem Yvonne. I haven't done mine yet, hopefully it's today's project.

What an interesting form! An equally interesting theme! The older I get the more often I seem to startle from sleep for some reason or another...
There are, indeed, nights when I ponder if it's the bladder haunting me or some ghostly apparition! (Smiling...) I'll just say: It "Depends."

That would work for me...but my cats have passed to they'd be kitty spirits! (somehow not quite as scary a thought!)

I truly loved this one, damommy. It covered all the questions, the doubts and the fears of being aroused from a deep sleep. I thought the picture was priceless. Very well done and greatly enjoyed.

An interesting form of poetry to which I can relate. I've been feeling kind of jumpy of late and often hear things go bump in the night. This poem certainly conveys that feeling. Thanks for sharing. :)

I like the rhyme pattern in this Empat Empat, and you did a great job with the rhyme. All of your rhymes worked in quite naturally. Those dreams can make you wake up, all right. I dreamed a couple of nights ago that I was driving on these dirt roads, and I was lost and about to run out of gas. What a predicament! I think we do have a fear of those strange noises in the night. In the dark, they seem magnified and more ominous. May you be free of dreams with mysterious sounds that disturb your sleep. judi

The theme of this poem is unique. The read made me think of times
a noise scared me and woke me up. The author's words are descriptive, clear and creative. The words flow and connect well. The artwork couldn't be better and it compliments the theme of this poem.

I think this happens to everyone at least once. Sometimes you can believe it was just a dream and go back to sleep and other times you can't.
This is a well done empat empat poem for the potlach club.
